For Support Workers
Caregiving Made Simpler
Being a support worker is already a big job—handling paperwork shouldn’t be. We guide you through onboarding, submitting hours, and understanding your role in the process. While there are many required state and federal forms, we help you track where everything stands so nothing gets missed
Straightforward Onboarding and Application
We make sure the application process is explained thoroughly, with step-by-step help for new employers and support workers.
Easy Shift Submission
Submit your hours with ease using our simple, reliable electronic time entry system.
Most employees will use our mobile app to clock in and out—it includes built-in features required by the state.
If you live in the same home as the person you support, you’ll have the option to use the app or a web browser.
Whichever method applies to you, we’ll make sure you’re set up and comfortable every step of the way.
Consistent Support Team
At Life Fountain, we take the time to make sure information and processes make sense—so you feel supported, not overwhelmed.
Achieving Your Vision
Planning for retirement is essential to your long-term financial well-being. At Finovate, our experienced team collaborates with you to identify your retirement goals and crafts a tailored, comprehensive strategy to help you achieve them with confidence.
How Do I Get Started as a Support Worker?
Getting to Know the Role
The participant or their representative is your employer. They will let you know your schedule, expectations, job duties, and any training they’d like you to complete. We support them in setting things up, but they are the ones who guide your day-to-day role.
Application & Background Studies
You’ll complete an employment application, which includes state-required background studies and fingerprinting. CFSS workers (not CDCS) are required to take a short training or knowledge test as part of enrollment. We’ll guide you through the paperwork, help track progress, and answer questions along the way.
State Enrollment & Unique ID
In addition to the background study, a separate enrollment process with the state assigns you a unique provider number. If the participant is enrolled with a Managed Care Organization (MCO), another ID may also be issued through that health plan. These steps can take time, but we’ll keep you updated along the way.
Approval & First Day
Once all steps are complete, you’ll be officially approved to work. We make sure you and the participant/employer understand how to track and submit hours correctly, follow program guidelines, and get off to a smooth start.
